Botanical Garden!

Hey!

Few weeks ago I went to the San Francisco Botanical Garden! I had never been there before and I had the impression that it must be much more beautiful and colorful in the fall. Despite the fact that it's winter and every living thing is kind of sad and less beautiful I liked the Botanical Garden very much. I think it's a very relaxing place, where you can easily spend a couple of hours, take a lot of pictures and like so on. I noticed that they have specific plants of specific areas in Africa or Asia, for example.

Anyway, I liked so much the time that I spent there and I would definitely come back in the spring and summer! The most beautiful pics I took on that day

Ah! One more thing: there are few little paths that you can walk and kind of end in the same place that you started. Which I think is interesting.

Like the pics? Ever been to SF Botanical Garden?

Japanese Tea Garden!

Japanese Tea Garden is located in the Golden Gate Park and it such a beautiful place! It is not that big but all plants are beautifully pruned, which in my opinion makes a whole difference. Furthermore, I liked so much the two japanese buildings over there. They have the original japanese architecture!
Another thing that I really liked is the small lakes. I think there are like two small lakes, which combined with the buildings and the plants, characterize the japanese style! It's a very wooded place, which I like so much!
I haven't mentioned the statues of Buda that are in there! There is also a bridge that you can cross and take beautiful pics on the whole garden!!!

The Japanese Tea Garden is free from 9am to 10am every monday, wednesday and friday. More info at http://japaneseteagardensf.com/

Hope you go there and enjoy this beautiful place!

Buena Vista Park!

Hey! How have you been?

Few weeks ago I went to Buena Vista Park! I enjoyed very much because it was a beautiful day and I had a picknick right on the top! The park is very high and because of that it was kind of fresh.

I had a short breakfast, headed down on Safeway and went all the way through the park. I picked up all you can see above. I've always liked parks because they are relaxing, wooded and nice. I've also liked to have the kind of strong breakfast in a relaxing place. So, I guess I just mixed both and liked so much the day!

The park has a beautiful view of the city, including the Golden Gate Bridge!

Don't you know where it is? Click here to see the map.

Don't you think spending the day over there is a great idea? :)
Hope you can go there and enjoy as much as I did!

Legion on Honor!

Hi!

I have been to Legion of Honor and it's such a beautiful and amazingly incredible place!! There are beautiful paintings in realistic style. There were a couple of paintings, that were so realistic, that I felt like that images were real. There are many sculptures too, but I am not a big fan of them.
What I most liked is definitely the amazing pairings and the big rooms where they were.

I truly recommend you go there!! It's so worth it; and even if you aren't a big fan of museums, I think you should go.

Here are some pics!!

If I could choose only one museum to go again, I'd choose Legion of Honor surely. I love so much that place!

Book!

I just read a book called "100 Quotations to Make You Think!" written by Wolfgang Riebe. It's a book about quotations and yes, there are truly 100 quotations on it. I underlined some good ones, such as:

"43) I've learned that no matter how serious your life requires you to be, everyone needs a friend to act goofy with. It kind of brings you back down to earth again."

"48) I've learned that everyone wants to live on top of the mountain, but all happiness and growth occurs while you're climbing it."

"58)Borrow money from a pessimist - they don't expect it back."

"65) Time goes by so fast: people go in and out of your life. You must never miss the opportunity to tell there people how much they mean to you."

"84) Bad habits are like a comfortable bed; they are easy to get into, but hard to get out of."

"86) Life can either be accepted or changed. If it is not accepted, it must be changed. If it cannot be changed, then it must be accepted."

"100) If you cannot help worrying, remember that worrying cannot help you either. Today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday. If you worry you die, if you don't worry you die, so why worry?"

Like it?! There are many others as good as these above. I'm sure you'll like other ones too! The reading is pretty easy and it doesn't take so long to read it all. I like this kind of books, because these short sentences make my brain think and think for a long time. Besides, it's kind of inspiring, isn't it!?

Dolores Park and Ice Cream!

Yay!

I can't believe I have lived here for so long, and haven't talked about the Dolores Park! So, this park is located in Castro, which is a neighborhood. When I first went there some things surprised me, like the kids area and sport courts. The park is also very open, because there aren't many threes as Golden Gate Park, so it's perfect to relax on the grass.

From the park you can have a beautiful vision of downtown! Which was a surprise for me, too!

And the delicious news! If you just cross the street, you'll be in a very nice ice-cream parlor! It's called and it's very famous because all flavors are delicious! I've tried and liked so much!!! And it's perfect because you can buy one tasty ice cream, and right after enjoy it at the park!

Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
