AT&T Park is used for Major League Baseball (MLB) which is a professional league of baseball in United States. AT&T Park is also known as a ballpark, which means baseball stadium! It has served as a home of the San Francisco Giants, as you know, Giants is the team based in SF of the National League West.
The original name of the stadium was Pacific Bell Park, however, in 2003 it was changed for SBC Park, and finally in 2006 it was renamed to AT&T Park because of the merger between AT&T and SBC.
The stadium was opened in 2000 and it has about 42,000 seat stadium! Can you imagina that!?
It is located in South Beach. If you don't know where the ballpark is, click here and you'll know!
I have never been there! The picture above I took on the internet!
Have you been there?!
Talk about SF without mention hills would be impossible, in my opinion. I believe so, because since I first came here, I saw so many hills!
There are seven most famous hills in SF, which are Telegraph Hill, Nob Hill, Russian Hill, Rincon Hill, Mount Sutro, Twin Peaks and the other is Mount Davidson. I prepared a map with the main hills, here it is! Take care, because these seven are the most famous, however, there are more than 40 hills just in SF! The highest hill is Mount Davidson by 925ft, it means 282m! It is really high, isn't it?!
The difference between hills and mountains is not so clear, but basically, the hills are lower and less steep than a mountains. The formation of a hill may form through different geomorphic phenomena, for example, faulting, erosion of larger of landforms, movement of sediments by glaciers and like so on.
Now I hope you know a little bit more about hills and some curiosities about it!
